Previously I attended UCSB under a Pre-Computer Science major, though I chose to drop out due to academic and other problems. I felt it was in my best interest to leave the school and pursue other interests.
I'm was working on earning a certificate in Web Site Design and Management through the UCSB Extension, though work has made it difficult to continue to take classes.

![]() Me, when I was a little younger. Wasn't I cute??? |
I now live alone in an appartment. My mother is moving to oregon with my step father. My real father died in March, 1991.
I also have a sister who has three children.
In my house there are 7 animals. There are two cats named Katie & Tabitha, and five dogs named Vincent, Letta, Tobie, Sadie & Tinkerbelle. We've had other pets in the past, most notable of which (to me anyway) was my cat Sabastian. There's a section dedicated to him further down on this page...
I am a Christian and was Baptized on May 25, 1997. Up until recently I've been going to South Coast Fellowship. This has recently changed, to Chinese Christian Church of Thousand Oaks. I normally go with my girlfriend and other close friends.
Though I've never really been a major sports fan, I do enjoy watching the game of hockey. My favorate teams are the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, the Los Angeles Kings, & the San Jose Sharks (in that order)...
The only hobbies I really have are the collecting of objects. I collect Action Figures & Beanie Babies. I also consider web site development a hobby...
I am a member of the Official JLR Fanclub. Or was at this point, apparently the club is no more.
I have type 1 diabetes, and have had it since I was seven. I have good control, for the most part. During the year I spent on Prednisone (a steroidal anti-inflammatory), due to my rheumatoid arthritis, it was quite out of control (a result of the steroids).

I've been diagnosed with acute systemic rheumatoid arthritis. It has impaired my movement ability, and am considered legally handicapped by the state of California. The overall effect has caused problems with some of my joints. After 2 years of the disorder I had a total left hip replacement. Basically a metal cup was screwed onto my hip, and a metal ball was attached to my leg bone & aligned with the hip (see picture on right). After less than 10 days after the surgery I was up & walking pretty well (against the doctors orders). The hip replacement was a complete success. Following, a little under a year later I had the right done in March '02.
In June following my surgery, I ended up having to call an ambulance minutes before loosing consciousness. It had turned out I had developed a serious infection, which sent me into septic shock and nearly killed me. I do not remember events in the hospital for over the first week I was in. I know now that after I went in, doctors told my mother I would NOT survive, after which they literally stuck me in a room to die. Basically at the time they said there was absolutely nothing they could do to save me. I'm very fortunate, as I did survive. I stayed in the hospital for over a month, and when all was said and done I had 5 separate surgeries on my hip. Two of these were to remove my hip, then to re-insert it. Unfortunately my ability to walk is not so good anymore. I also have a small scar resulting from a bed sore on the back of my head, which will no longer grow hair. But overall I'm doing good based on what I went though.
In general I'm somebody who likes to laugh. I always try to make jokes, and enjoy watching comedy shows/movies. Though my constant tendency to joke has been known to get on peoples nerves a every now and then...

This section is deadicated to my girlfriend fiancee wife. You can see her beautiful picture on the right. We first met on October 31st of 2002, at a Church function. After which (with a little help from friends) we became close friends. On December 31st we officially became boyfriend & girlfriend. We have continued to grow closer together ever since.
I've renamed this section from girlfriend to fiancee as we've been engaged since Christmas Day '04... I've since renamed the section from fiancee to wife, since our wedding has now taken place...
I love her very much and I thank God daily for allowing me to be with her. She is such a wonderful person and she has made me happier than I could have ever imagined. While we're appart I spend every minute anticipating the next time I will see her.
For various reasons I'm not going to put her name here. But after some time I'm now at least able to put up her picture.

This section dedicated to the memory of my cat, Sabastian. I had him for seven years, March '90 to October '97, until he died of a heart attack. I really miss him...

I created a QuickTime VR movie of my room, mainly for the fun of it. My room has, however, been re-arranged since I made this. I havn't re-done the movie since it does take quite a bit of time & effort to do a decent job. But it does give you an idea of the strange world I choose to live in.
To view this its best to have QuickTime 3.0 or later, though it should work with QuickTime 2.5, so long as all QTVR parts are present.
I purchased my new car a short time ago. It's a hybrid Honda Insight. The gas milage is great, as it averages around 50 MPG!!! Many people ask how the car is "charged". If you're wondering, the car in fact never needs charging. The battery is charged when the car slows down & breaks. Normally this energy is wasted in most cars. To be somewhat scientific: When you break the brake pads on your car turns the car's momentum into heat, literally throwing the energy away. In my car, unless I break really hard, that energy is sent to charge the battery, there fore being more efficient. The car handles very well, I do not have any problems with power what-so-ever.

In my spare time I can sometimes be found playing online games. As it stands I'm not very good at games, especially online. I, however, do enjoy playing them. I can commonly be seen online playing StarCraft, Diablo 2, Quake 3, Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force and Descent 3. I recently have started playing PlayStation 2 Online games as well (and currently use them more often than my computer). On it I can be seen playing Twisted Metal Black: Online, Tribes Arial Assault, and of corse Socom: Navy Seals. In the past I've usually used Torgo or some variation there of as my nickname. Currently I either use bob@torgo.org or bob(a)torgo.org. This is a shorten version of my e-mail address, but it does work. I have to use the parentheses and the a's when the service will not allow an @ in the name. |
